Veterans Talk and Resource Fair August 13, 2016

The office of Congressman Rodney Davis has invited members of VFW Post 5691 to attend a FREE Veterans Talk and Resource Fair.

This will be a community partnership that includes local, state, and federal government agencies as well as resource organizations whose aim is to provide services and support to our area veterans. There is no cost to attend this event.

The first hour will consist of an informative presentation that allows attendees to ask important questions to panelist. Attendees can also take advantage of the resource fair, where they can receive information about active duty, veteran and military benefits.

Traveling Vietnam Wall Memorial Sep. 7-11, 2016

The traveling Vietnam Wall Memorial is coming back to Troy, IL, in September 2016. The Wall is a 3/5 scale of the Vietnam Memorial in Washington DC, it stands six feet tall at the center and covers almost 300 feet from end to end.Traveling Vietnam Wall

This Traveling Memorial stands as a reminder of the great sacrifices made during the Vietnam War. It was made for the purpose of helping heal and rekindle friendships and to allow people the opportunity to visit loved ones in their home town who otherwise may not be able to make the trip to Washington.
